Joy Pockets

Seeing the first signs of fall

showing my art to fellow artists and hearing their excitement

discovering a Japanese tea gardens a few blocks from my house. I have lived this close to such a beautiful sanctuary for 20 years and didn't know it!

having my camera at the Japanese tea garden and taking some fun shots

loving my new zoom lens

throwing out some target shelves and replacing them with a beautiful antique cabinet

reading one book after another to my insistence two and three-quarter year old grandson

singing to my grandson and having he and my daughter clap

watching wonderful turtles doing their thing in the koi and turtle pond at the tea garden

preparing to celebrate my daughter's birthday tomorrow

Joy Pockets

My son let me borrow his zoom lens and I am having fun practicing

went to two famous Berkeley bookstores with my daughter and grandchildren, Moe's and Shakespeare and Company

I taught my granddaughter to read and now it is a joy to see her loving it.
I was invited along with 24 other big spenders to a VIP event in one of my new favorite stores and was served sparkling water and hors d'oeuvres while watching a fashion show, I just had to do it at least once in my life, I felt like one of the women on the Housewives shows which I do not watch any more!

the jacaranda has finally dropped its last flower on my car

I finally washed my car and it has stayed clean all week

painted and glued things

met a beautiful older woman named Rabi'a who was wearing 4 inch red wedge platforms and her hair was tied in a lovely blue floral scarf She told me she was named after the famous sufi poet Rabi'a.

I bought a book of Rabi'as poetry

I enjoyed reading the life adventures of my new blogger friends, Kat, Monica, urban muser and Amanda
