Joy Pockets

My son let me borrow his zoom lens and I am having fun practicing

went to two famous Berkeley bookstores with my daughter and grandchildren, Moe's and Shakespeare and Company

I taught my granddaughter to read and now it is a joy to see her loving it.
I was invited along with 24 other big spenders to a VIP event in one of my new favorite stores and was served sparkling water and hors d'oeuvres while watching a fashion show, I just had to do it at least once in my life, I felt like one of the women on the Housewives shows which I do not watch any more!

the jacaranda has finally dropped its last flower on my car

I finally washed my car and it has stayed clean all week

painted and glued things

met a beautiful older woman named Rabi'a who was wearing 4 inch red wedge platforms and her hair was tied in a lovely blue floral scarf She told me she was named after the famous sufi poet Rabi'a.

I bought a book of Rabi'as poetry

I enjoyed reading the life adventures of my new blogger friends, Kat, Monica, urban muser and Amanda

  2. Looks like you had a beautiful week too :)I didn't know there was a Shakespeare and Company in California. I've been to the one in Paris where I have no problem getting lost in a nook for hours. Have a good weekend.

  4. I remember Moe's from when my daughter was attending UC Berkeley. I loved all the amazing bookstores when I visited her there! She always had to drag me out of them, me protesting all the way...and still does, for that matter.

  10. Hi you left a comment on my blog about enjoying Angkor Vat...that was really cool to know that there was one viewer who had been there. You could spend a life documenting this sacred place. Maybe you will post photos of your own. Took a few moments to enjoy your three blogs...whew, that is a lot of work but you do it so well. Love your little Joy Pocket....smiles: sharon

  11. Hi Sharon, I had to return to your page to see if I had written the wrong thing. I love your photos and I have not been to Angkor Vat, I just enjoy borrowing over sized photo books on Angkor Vat from the library and looking at that sacred area. Thank you for visiting my blogs and checking them out.
